Yes, Cherry Mobile brings more Android phones in the market. The newest addition to the family is the Cherry Mobile Stellar. This is a steal if you look at the specs-price ratio. This can go head-to-head with the Samsung Galaxy Y. It's edge is its dual-SIM function.

LG Optimus Series Gingerbread Upgrade News

This is the actual screen capture from the LG Mobile Facebook page. Hopefully Filipino Optimus 2x user's will receive the update tomorrow.

It clearly states though that LG Optimus 2X users in Europe will get the update on Nov. 1, 2011.

LG Optimus One, LG Optimus Me, and LG Optimus 3D gets discounted!

LG dropped the prices of Optimus One, Optimus Me and Optimus 3D in a promo that will last until October 2, 2011. 

I'm thinking that LG will have more promos for LG Optimus 3D in the coming months.

LG Philippines released new Android phones (Price drop included)

LG Philippines Facebook page just posted an ad today announcing the 3 additional phones on their Optimus line-up.

In my opinion, LG Optimus Pro and LG Optimus Net are way more affordable than its competitor (read: Samsung).

BPI Express Mobile for ANDROID

I've been waiting for this app to be available in the market since I used an Android phone. In case you don't know, Android does not support Java apps and games.

I already installed this on my LG Optimus 2x and my only feedback is, the GUI and the animation is not that good. The user will not know if he/she already pressed a button or not. Other than that, it is working great.

I personally tried this on my Android, the GUI is simple and straightforward. I tried to IM my brother who is using a Blackberry. I thought it will appear as chat on his phone, but it went to his messages folder. I think this will only look like an IM if the user is also using the same app, though I have not tested this yet on another android and iOS device.

Globe also offers free access to Facebook

Just like SMART's offer, Globe also give it's subscribers free access to Facebook via it's java app for mobile. It's FREE* until October 31, 2011.

Here are the steps how to get the app and how to use it for FREE.

1. Make sure your default internet profile is myGlobe CONNECT. 
2. Go to http://m.globe.com.ph/facebookapp
3. Follow the instructions
4. Open the app and login to Facebook

If your default internet connection is not myGlobe CONNECT, internet charges will apply, so make sure to download the correct APN settings for your phone.

Globe Blackberry MAX's price drops to P599/month! BB users rejoiced!

It's already confirmed that there is a price drop on Globe's Blackberry MAX service from P999 to P599. (Thanks for the heads-up, Nikka). I guess this is a way for Globe to push more subscribers to use Blackberry. 

For those who don't know what Blackberry MAX is, it is also known as Super Surf for Blackberry. With this service, you get unlimited surfing, connect to your social networks, send and receive email (real-time), BBM and other instant messaging service, video streaming and tethering.
